While authentic assessment is not a new idea in itself\, it needs to be rethought in the digital world\, and particularly in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Nowadays\, students do not only use digital technology but live with it: AI is a part of our everyday life in higher education. How could we design authentic assessment in the digital world?\nAbout the Speaker\nDr. Juuso Nieminen is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education\, University of Hong Kong and a Banting Fellow at Ontario tech University\, Canada. He is also an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE)\, Deakin University\, Australia. Dr Nieminen studies the social\, cultural\, digital and political aspects of assessment. Why do we assess the way we do? Dr Nieminen’s research focuses on the student perspective in assessment. Dr Nieminen has also examined the matters of inclusion\, accessibility and belonging with respect to assessment and feedback.
