For this panel discussion\, we have invited leaders of peer review of teaching initiatives from University College London\, The University of Sydney\, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to share their experiences in managing peer review of teaching at their respective institutions\, and fostering conversations on teaching practice. The facilitator will initially invite each speaker to present the peer review of teaching initiatives implemented at their university\, before opening the discussion to all participants.\nAbout the discussion panel\nDr. Barbara Tam \nDr. Barbara Tam is a Senior Teaching and Learning Specialist in the Educational Development Centre\, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has more than 16 years of working experience in the area of staff development\, and she is responsible for peer review of teaching and teaching portfolio in her university. Apart from offering programmes to teaching staff to support teaching and learning\, she has led projects on leveraging new learning spaces to facilitate active and collaborative learning and on developing online/blended courses for teaching development.\nDr. Samantha Clarke \nDr. Samantha Clarke is a marine geologist turned academic developer\, working with educators to improve the learning experience for all students. She is currently a Senior Lecturer (Education-Focused) in the Educational Innovation team in the DVC (Education) Portfolio and leads the university-wide Peer Review of Teaching program. Sam has a strong background in student engagement\, student transition\, equity diversity and inclusion\, and technology-enhanced learning\, and has won international\, national\, and university teaching awards in the field of learning and teaching. Sam is a Managing Editor forTeaching@Sydney and Program Director of the university-wide Modular Professional Learning Framework (MPLF) program for educators. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.\nDr. Jenny Griffiths \nDr. Jenny Griffiths is an Associate Professor at University College London (UCL). She is also the Associate Director (Staff Development and Recognition) of the Arena Centre\, within the UCL Higher Education and Development Support Institute. She leads the UK’s largest Advance HE accredited institutional Continuing Professional Development and experiential HEA fellowship scheme. The scheme is open to all staff involved in education and student experience within the university\, from the newest Teaching Assistants through to senior education leadership\, supporting their development and recognition as effective and reflective educators.
