Welcome to the Students as Partners (SaP) @ HKU resources. Also known as a Student-Staff partnership, SaP generally refers to a pedagogical strategy to engage students and academic/professional staff working as active collaborators to improve teaching and learning experiences (Mercer-Mapstone et al., 2017). Though SaP is often positioned as an approach to enhancing student engagement in learning, teachers also get inspired through the process of redefining their traditional teaching roles and developing partnerships with students. SaP engagement is believed to be an effective way for teaching innovation and development.
This SaP@HKU resources aim to support HKU colleagues and students in SaP engagement. It will serve as a centralised platform to share a collection of resources, including:

  • Seminar series
  • Selected examples
  • Tips
  • TDLEG Projects on SaP
    • SaP CoP
    • Inter-institutional
New content and resources will be updated on this platform from time to time. Should you have any relevant materials or resources to share with the HKU communities, please contact Dr Peter Lau (pfmlau@hku.hk) at TALIC.
Enjoy the new journey with your student/teacher partners!
